
This 3 years part-time programme consists of 32 modules to be completed. Students will experience a wide variety of teaching and learning approaches, including:
- Interactive seminars
- Self-directed research
- Group-based learning
- Reflection on visual materials
- Coursework presentation
- Online open discussions
This course utilises a range of formative, summative and reflective assessment methods to evaluate learning. The aim of assessment is to develop pre-service teaching skills in critical thinking and reflective practice. Assessment components include formal assessments and informal self-assessments so that students can monitor their own learning.
Students will develop early childhood education knowledge in planning and implementation of quality learning and creative experiences for children and learn about the importance of a stimulating but safe environment for children to explore and interact.
This programme will strengthen students’ skills while enhancing their understanding of the many aspects of children’s development and learning. Courses cover several relevant topics, from children’s development and language acquisition to the impact of parents and communities on childhood education.
The future career path for Bachelor’s Degree in Early childhood Education graduates includes but not limited to:

Qualification as stated below:
– STPM / A-Level pass with at least two (2) subjects and pass SPM / O-Level with credits in Mathematics; or
– Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
